Our Story
Hi! I am Anjali, also known as Miss Loombastic 😀.
I started my amigurumi journey 3 years ago. I had been working in the corporate sector for nearly 14 years, and had felt a saturation creep in. There was a vacuum.
It was at this point that I discovered amigurumi. What followed was serendipity. I fell in love with the craft, and the amigurumi gods accepted me as one of their own. I have been making amigurumi collectibles, exhibiting, and teaching amigurumi for two years now.
And the journey has just begun.
Spreading Amigurumi Awesomeness
Improves Fine Motor Skills
Amigurumi and crochet needs a fair bit of hand control. It improves hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and dexterity among children, while keeping it fun.
Increases Discipline
Following a pattern, or creating one, requires following instructions precisely. It encourages children to sit in one place and focus on a singular task.Â

A Creative Outlet
Children are only seeking screen stimulation. Tactile interaction with toys is nearly lost. This craft helps them make their own toy, and learn crucial life skills in the process.
Alleviates Stress & Anxiety
Children face a great deal of pressure to perform. Practicing a craft like amigurumi can be relaxing and helps the child deal better with their stress.
Builds Self Esteem
The fact that they are creating something with their own hands is a unique experience for children. It not only builds self esteem but also teaches problem solving.Â
